Paris, France is one of the most famous cities in the world and is known for its art, architecture, food, and history. It is often called the City of Light and attracts millions of visitors every year. Many people immediately think of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Seine River when they hear the name Paris. The city has a strong cultural identity and is recognized for beautiful streets, historic buildings, and world-famous landmarks. Because Paris includes so many visually interesting places, it works very well for a web page assignment that focuses on multimedia. It is easy to find images that show both historic and modern parts of the city.
Paris is also a good topic because it provides plenty of meaningful information to write about while still staying simple and clear. A page about Paris can include museums, monuments, bridges, churches, and city views, which makes the content interesting without being too narrow. The city has influenced fashion, art, and travel for generations, and it remains one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. For this project, Paris gives a nice contrast to the Detroit Tigers page because one page focuses on sports and the other focuses on travel and culture. That makes the two linked pages feel different from each other while still matching the assignment requirements.
