Building a Home Lab Network

Project 2 template version based on the same topic and content from Project 1.

Home Lab Overview

This version of the site places the same home lab topic from Project 1 into a professional template layout. The main goal is still the same, which is to explain what a home lab is and why it is useful for learning networking and systems work.

The rest of the site keeps the same focus on hardware, segmentation, and monitoring, but now presents the information in a more polished design that is easier to browse.

What This Site Is About

A home lab network is a small setup that lets someone practice networking, servers, and troubleshooting without needing access to a business environment. I picked this topic because it connects to real IT skills and also gives a good way to explain how different parts of a network work together.

On this site I am focusing on the basic pieces that make a lab useful, including the hardware, the way devices can be separated into different parts of the network, and the way a person can keep track of services once the lab is online. Even a simple lab can teach important ideas like routing, switching, IP addressing, and service management.
