Past Winners Gallery
This page shows previous winners from the club's nature, architecture, and street categories.
The gallery page is used to display previous winners from the club’s three categories. A gallery is important because it gives the site a sense of continuity instead of making each voting cycle disappear as soon as the next one begins. Visitors can look back at past selections and compare the images that stood out in earlier rounds. For this project, the gallery highlights one winning image from Nature, one from Architecture, and one from Street. Placing the images together on a dedicated page also makes it easier to show a clean archive without crowding the homepage or the voting page.
Along with the images, the page includes enough descriptive text to explain why a gallery matters to the site. A winning gallery gives members examples of what kind of entries tend to be successful. It also makes the club feel more complete because it shows that voting leads to a visible result. Even though this is a class project, the gallery still helps demonstrate the structure of a simple photography club website. Images are displayed in a consistent format, each one uses both alt and title text, and the captions identify the category so the gallery supports both design and organization.
