Welcome to the Club
This homepage introduces the online photo club and provides the required social media sharing tools, email link, and site overview.
Open Lens Photo Club is a simple online space for people who enjoy taking pictures and talking about what makes an image stand out. The goal of the club is not to be overly formal. Instead, it is meant to be a place where beginners and experienced hobby photographers can share ideas, compare approaches, and take part in a few friendly activities each month. Members can look over the current rules, read the category themes, send in a submission, cast a vote, and visit the live chat page to keep the conversation going.
The club is organized around three main themes so the site feels focused instead of random. Nature covers outdoor scenes and details, Architecture focuses on structures and design, and Street centers on people, daily life, and public places. Those categories make it easier to judge entries fairly because participants know what each page is asking for before they submit. I also wanted the homepage to serve as a clear starting point, so the most important items are all easy to find from the main navigation and from the footer links on every page.
The project directions require third-party social media share buttons on the welcome page, so the buttons below use AddToAny rather than plain text links. Visitors can use them to share the club with classmates, friends, or anyone else who may want to participate.
Email the Club Organizer
If you have a question about themes, rules, or deadlines, you can send a message directly to the club organizer by email. The active email link below is placed on the main page because that is one of the listed requirements for this project.
Site Map Access
The footer of this site includes a direct link to the XML sitemap file so it can be opened quickly. After the site is uploaded, that file should sit inside the main project folder and list every page in the website.
